Christmas Sunday

These pictures are mostly being posted for Grandma Joan to see just how darling the kids looked in their NEW Christmas Sunday clothes she sent! Thank you so much for spoiling the kids once again! I barely snapped these pictures before Kael snuck out of his tie...... as you can see. Jade stole the show in her little dress today, she looked so cute when she wasn't scowling like she is in the picture below.

She looks like a cute little lady bug!

The sweet smell of Christmas

I love the memories I have of Christmas as a child! Do any of you remember 'scratch & sniff ' books? I would have never remembered this particular book if I hadn't stumbled across it in Ross. I was so excited! The turn of each page brought back so many Christmas memories! What a treasure I've found. The boys sure love smelling the pages, and so have I!

Sledding indoors anyone? They do this for hours, no major injuries yet.

PJ Elf came to visit and brought the kids new pajama's!  We usually do this on Christmas Eve, but I wanted the kids to actually wear their PJ's before Christmas was over.

They loved their new button up train and cowboy PJ's this year, and refuse to wear any other ones to bed!

Let it snow!

This is why I love living in Colorado!  It's in my blood to endure the cold weather and look forward to a white Christmas every year!  The kids were so excited and nothing could hold them back........ they love SNOW! We had so much fun playing together as a family on Sunday evening outside in a beautiful winter wonderland! This is by far more snow than we ever had last year........ and is the first real snow of the season.  I can only imagine what's ahead.

The boys were begging Scott to keep throwing them onto this huge snow pile!

My cute snow men.

The boys, stuck inside the snow mountain they made with Dad.

The first thing they check for every morning is snow, and then they step outside to see how cold it really  is, and decide how brave they're going to be............ so cute!

The "W. C."

Here he is, the new "W.C." Scott's latest nickname, a.k.a. " The Ward Clerk."
No more hiding on the back row for you guys the Bishop teased.  We weren't really trying to hide, we just have a 3 year old CEO of the family that's always out to make himself seen and heard.  Let's just say we didn't hide in the back this Sunday and I don't think I'll be able to do it again. CEO turned and pointed to the man sitting behind us, who did have a belly like Santa, and said loud enough for others to hear "look mom he's fat."  I couldn't make a big deal about it even though I was feeling quite sick to my stomach. This child just has no inhibitions and will say what ever comes to mind, I have how many years left to excuse this little man?

A quick attempt for a picture after church, before clothes get dirty or thrown on the floor.

Ahhhh, a breathe of fresh air. Our little ray of sunshine, she is such a light in our lives!
This adorable outfit from Grandma looked so cute on her at church, I love having her all dressed up!

Thanks Celine

Well, believe it or not we were very disappointed to find out that Celine cancelled her concert last night. So..... good thing we have been giving Jade a bottle every night for the past few weeks, and hired two different babysitters to go out that night, and counted on a special night at Celine for our seventh anniversary! Darn it!  Scott was so sweet to plan all of this last Christmas..... it was going to be the perfect night. What do ya do? Her concert won't be until February 24th, and that's if we keep our tickets and still go! So thanks Celine, you better have some crazy, desperate reason for canceling. Just for the record we did still go out last night to dinner at Texas Roadhouse and to the new James Bond movie. Still fun but Celine would have been so, so, so much better.

Canadian company.... come back soon!

We always love when Grandma and Grandpa come to visit us!  This was such a great weekend together and the kids did not want it to end. Ever.  They were so excited to wake up every morning and find Grandma and Grandpa in the guest room. It is so cute to watch them,  and see how much they adore their grandparents. We are so grateful that you came to visit and wish you both back again soon! We love you!

Thanks dad for tagging along with Scott. He's always on the go and grateful to have a sports buddy to bring along!

Yes, he isn't messing around here. Jersey and all, ready to go.

Mom, dad and Jade.

More of mom's decorating touch. I know it's a little (or a lot) early for Christmas but, they were willing to help, and I was willing to have the help and not do it myself this year.  The kids are so excited and think Christmas is right around the corner..... and it's not. So this could be interesting!

Mom you look 27 in this picture! What is your secret? Jade is lucky to be named after such a beauty!

Grandpa was able to watch the boys play in their first basketball games on Saturday!

Jade wearing her very appropriate t-shirt from Grandma.... Scott sure had something to say about this!

Baking cookies with Grandma! Yummy peanut butter and jelly cookies, you make a little thumb print and fill it in with jam after baking them. Such a fun one for kids!

We LOVE you both so much and can't wait to have you back soon! Thanks for just playing and spending time with the kids, that is what it's all about!

Compliments these days....

These are just a few of the things that are stealing all the compliments lately.
None have anything to do with me, so I figured I should share them with you.
Below is a picture of my Pottery Barn look a like centerpiece that my talented mom threw together when she was here visiting! Friends have loved it!  Thank you mom for your help getting Christmas started so early this year! You are one classy stylin' lady!

Endless compliments on the adorable baby blanket below that my sweet sister made for Jade!
Thanks Emily for such a darling quilt that everyone loves and asks about, if only you were here to hear all the praise!

We're finally catching some smiles these days!

October Utah trip

It is always so great to see family! These are a little late but I thought I would post a few pictures of all the fun we had visiting so much family!  The boy's had a hoot with their cousins and were constantly entertained! Everyone was so good to accommodate our family of five and we are so grateful to have such a wonderful extended family!

Boys and whoopee cushions = never ending entertainment! Thanks Aunt Shana!

Adorable little Ethan!

Kael was very proud of his tree climbing abilities.

Cute cousins playing in the leaves! Such a great picture of these boys.

A family get together in Chester to see all of Scott's mom's family!

The farm was so much fun, and cousins wrestling was even better!

Scott's Grandma holding little Jade.

Grandpa Mike, Grandma Joan, and Uncle Seth with baby Jade. Good lookin' bunch I must say!

Karson and his favorite lady!

Jade and I just chillin' at the bowling alley.

These boys had so much fun together this trip, they're all so darn cute!!
Can't wait to do it again soon!

Lucky..... or Unlucky?

You decide. I'm not sure what to think? After last night, I just hope we're through with "close calls"  for a while. Here's why.

#1. Late last night Scott went to the fridge looking for something to snack on. This is not unusual by any means. While gazing into the fridge he heard some crackling sounds, which he ignored and simply continued his search by opening the freezer. That is when he saw a warm orange-ish glow at the back of the freezer followed by more cracking noises.....  and that's when he yelled for me.  " Sarah, we've got a fire in the house!"   I come running in the kitchen and by then he had the fridge out from the wall with everything unplugged.  I could see a little smoke cloud above the fridge.... but was still nervous to go any closer . ( Maybe it was gonna blow, you never know..... plus I was holding little baby girl).  So our 6 month old fancy new fridge just about burned the house down last night..... while we should have all been in bed sleeping, not snacking....... and I will stop there.  I'm so glad Scott listens to his stomach.

#2.  A little while ago I was in our empty dining room looking up at the chandelier, and something just didn't look right. I walked over and reached my hand in to feel around. Oh what a surprise I found!  A burnt, charred, dirty diaper. One more day in there and I can only imagine. I didn't know the boys had been practicing their basketball skills with poopy  diapers in the dining room. It's a good thing the lights aren't turned on very often in that room or who knows what could've happened.

As some of you know our family hasn't been very lucky with fire. In high school our house burned down, yes enough reason to be scared and just a tad bit nervous with all these unlucky events.

Seven.....and still in heaven!

REWIND..... to this morning 7 years ago, I was slipping on a beautiful white dress,  preparing to be sealed for eternity in the temple to my very own prince charming.  We were strangers it seems now glancing back, starting out on our journey.  When I think back to that moment I remember being a little nervous, scared, overwhelmed and excited all at once for my life to start with this young Montana man.  It is what every girl waits for and dreams of! It amazes me that I thought I knew what LOVE was then,  because these last 7 years have truly shown me the remarkable man I married on that windy day.  I know his heart, every inch of it and he knows mine. Through the ups and downs of  kids, dental school, and many other big decisions, we have laughed, cried, trusted, forgave, loved and learned from each other.  The gospel has been a huge part of the  happiness we share and I am so grateful for Scott's righteous desires in leading our family.  We have grown so much and still are every day, and that's all that matters.  What a special day to remember the covenants we made and to see how much the lord has truly blessed us.  Could I love you any more?.......I guess we shall see.

By the way, since our Anniversary landed on a Sunday this year we will celebrate a little later in the month.  Scott got some pretty awesome tickets to see Celine Dion Nov. 19 ! I am so excited and I'm sure he is just dying to go hear Celine...........what a guy! I love you!

TMNT, Batman, and a mini princess....

Hope everyone had a WICKED night!  We sure did!
The boys loved pumpkin carving this year.....especially Kael. He even helped Karson carve on his miniature pumpkin that was suppose to be for decor only.  For such a tiny pumpkin I thought Kael did a great job, and Karson was so happy! What a good big brother!

Here they are all ready to go at 5:00 pm. I had to talk them into jumping on the trampoline for a while so it would be a little closer to sunset.

The best part of  Halloween by far!  I'm not gonna lie.....I still get excited to dump the candy and search through all the different kinds to find my favorites, or something new!

This tiny little costume actually belongs to a DOG, but was my only hope for Jade to turn into a mini something for Halloween night.
So here she is, our little mini princess

I fell in love with this picture of Scott and Jade.
Priceless.

Happy Halloween!
