Truth be known

So Jenny and I had a special little moment today...... and by special I mean real. You all know how real life as a mom can be, but you rarely talk about it or blog about it. Blogging is a perfect way to cover up so many little secrets of how we really go about our day.
Jenny had this fabulous idea of challenging all of you bloggers out there to post something real, not perfect, not edited, not something your proud of, but real.

I guess I get to go first....... lucky me. Today I was in the playroom with kids and I glanced down to see something that looked strange and kind of reminded me of, well, what poop looks like. I grabbed a DVD case and flicked it around to see what it was. Well, I really can say this was a first. It was not only poop, it was petrified poop. Yep, I really am a superstar cleaner and managed to not notice that someone at some point pooped upstairs and then left it to dry. Best part of the story is my sister was right there with me and witnessed it all unfolding. WE laughed so hard. She too has found some fun surprises over the years............ how refreshing.
I love those moments. They are what makes life interesting.

I love you Jenny. I know you will still send your kids over.......... for one more week. Then I have to replace you cause your leaving me. It really isn't possible though. You are the real deal. I love that.
Thanks for laughing with me today.

I'm still laughing...
ok, so normally I would be able to top that story...but I can't think of the perfect moment to post yet...I have four unmade beds upstairs, still haven't showered or brushed my teeth yet...but somehow that just doesn't seem real enough...
I think YOU win the "brave enough to post it 'cause you're keeping it real contest"!
You are a legend in my books.
No one can beat petrified poop. No one.

can't say I wish I saw the poop, but I sure do wish I was there for the moment and all the laughter that followed. I MISS MY SISTERS! LOVE YOU BOTH MORE THAN YOU KNOW!

You can always blame it on someone else's child right?! I love the idea of keeping it real! I need to just do some blogging in genereal! Ü
